Ministry to Women

Mission: To equip the women of Intown to reach out to our community.

Vision: To provide a point of connection among the women of Intown Presbyterian Church that will encourage them to grow in their relationship with Christ and prepare them to minister in their homes, workplace and to our community, supporting the larger mission of Intown.

1st Saturday Women’s Breakfast
Join the women of Intown on the first Saturday of each month at 9:00 am for fellowship and a great breakfast. You are encouraged to bring your friends and neighbors as well. Usually our time is spent at Mother’s Bistro and Bar, which is located at 212th SW Stark Street in downtown Portland. Occasionally we meet at other locations.

Working Women’s Prayer Group
This group meets once a month for women who are out in the workplace to share a meal, discuss the joys and challenges of being a believer in the workplace, and to pray for one another. This group meets at 6pm on Tuesdays at the home of Elise Peterson in SW Portland. Mom’s Group
Need some support and encouragement in your calling as a mother? Mom’s group meets at 10:00am on the first and third Tuesdays of every month. Bring your children and join us at a kid friendly coffee shop, a park, the Oregon Zoo, a fair or other planned outing.

Bible Studies and Prayer
We currently have no bible studies going. Our last study was on biblical womanhood in the book of Genesis and then we looked at the lives of many women throughout the bible. If you are interested in leading a study or gathering a group for prayer please contact Elise Peterson at women (at) intownchurch.com.

Annual Ladies Spring Tea
In the spring when the weather is warming we gather for a time of fellowship, tea and sweets. This is a great event to invite friends and neighbors to.

Day/Weekend Retreats
We occasionally have retreats or are invited by sister churches to their retreats. If you would like to help plan a retreat please let us know!
