Home Groups

Home Groups are the best way to truly belong to Intown and to participate in God’s mission through this church.

Since Intown has people coming from “close-in” neighborhoods as well as the surrounding areas, we must be very intentional about creating opportunities for community. Outside of Sunday Worship, Home Groups are the best way for us to engage with one another as Christians and to extend the ministry of Intown to the neighborhoods where we live. Just like Sunday morning worship, we attempt to create an environment where visitors are intentionally invited and are made to feel welcome when they drop by. As such, our Home Groups are not simply places where believers grow deeper, amassing more information, but where life is lived in community and the gospel is kept at the center.

These groups meet weekly or every other week. Usually there is time for worship, fellowship, prayer, discussion and sometimes singing. But, Home Groups are more than a periodic meeting; they are a community of support and love. If someone is going through a difficult time, has a new baby, or experiences other major life changes, the Home Group is designed to be place for support, shepherding, and prayer. Additionally, our Home Groups are commissioned to regularly serve the needy in our community and as such, extend a primary value of Intown into local neighborhoods.

So, if you’re new to Intown or have been here a while, we encourage you to visit and join a group. More specific information on dates, times and locations will be forthcoming, but in the meantime you can refer to the map below to see the general areas where our home groups meet. If you would like to visit one, please contact Robert Larson at robert@intownchurch.com and he will make sure you get the most up-to-date information.
